Clarise is an illustrator and oil painter, raised and residing in nw Montana. Her work is largely reminiscent of a childhood celebrating the winter solstice instead of Christmas stories of selkies and sin eaters, and more recently, stories of saints and Russian monastics with her devotion to Eastern Orthodoxy.

She has been an art student for the majority of her life and is currently a student of Iconography in the Orthodox Church.
